Leeds United didn’t turn up at Goodison Park, leaving empty-handed against Sean Dyche’s Everton.

The Whites failed to string four passes together throughout the 90’, offering no danger going forward. The highlight of the first half was the bust-up which continued in the tunnel at half-time.

Everton capitalised on their superior possession in the game, from a situation that, frankly, should be a nothing moment in any game. A ball over the top for Seamus Coleman had him in a position that should offer no threat to Illan Meslier, but the Everton captain managed to squeeze the ball between the keeper and the goal to give his side the crucial lead.

A chorus of “Sack The Board” and “Orta, Time To Go” rung around Goodison in the midst of Everton’s celebrations.
