After securing Premier League safety with victory over Brentford, Leeds United are due to finalise a deal for Brenden Aaronson’s arrival this summer.

Tom Bogert reported within an hour of Leeds’ confirmed survival that the deal has been in place for several months, subject to what league The Whites would be in for the 2022/23 campaign.

It’s been an impressive season for the 21-year-old who will reportedly be departing RB Salzburg after 18 months at the Austrian side. He’s won two league titles, scoring 13 goals and assisting a further 16 in 66 appearances.

Furthermore, Aaronson has broken into what is becoming an exciting young USA national team, earning 18 caps so far in his international career.
