Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson were knocked out of the Qatar World Cup on Saturday as the USA were bested by a superior Netherlands side, while Rasmus Kristensen was also sent packing as Denmark managed just one point from their three group games.

Meanwhile, their Leeds United teammates have landed in Valencia to begin their second pre-season camp ahead of a delayed second half of the season.

With that news came major developments for the squad, as Patrick Bamford and Diego Llorente underwent surgery during the World Cup break.

Bamford has been injury prone for the last couple of years and has struggled for any kind of form when he has played. He will now spend another two weeks on the sidelines as he recovers from minor groin surgery in Munich.

Diego Llorente was sent for minor surgery himself on Monday after fracturing his hand during Sunday’s session. He is expected to return to training any day now.

Junior Firpo’s struggles on the injury bench continue, however as his arrival into the camp has been delayed by a week, while Illan Meslier and Kristoffer Klaesson have also been held back due to illness.
