Leeds United have rewarded the superb performances of Pascal Struijk this season with a new four-and-a-half-year deal.

The 23-year-old has demonstrated his fantastic talent once again this season as a stand-in left-back as Stuart Dallas and Junior Firpo continue their recoveries on the sideline.

Struijk arrived at Elland Road in January 2018 as a young prospect at centre-back playing for the Ajax under-19s. He went on to impress in the latter matches of Leeds’ promotion-winning season in 2020, which earned him an increase in playing time, just as The Whites were on their way to the promised land.

He scored his first goal for the club at the Emirates, making 27 appearances at centre-back and as a holding midfielder. Like the rest of his teammates, Struijk had a tough campaign in 2021/22, but has come out the other side even stronger as his performances this season have earned him strong plaudits from fans, pundits and his coaches.
