Leeds United were beaten by West Ham United at the death as Michael Antonio turned the game on it’s head in the final moments at Elland Road.
The away side started well, with Antonio and Benhrama forcing Meslier into two good saves. But The Whites battled their way into the game and took the lead on 20 minutes as Rodrigo led a counter-attack down the right-hand side. He chopped the ball inside to Klich on the edge of the box who laid it off for Raphinha. The Brazilian stepped up and drilled a low finish round the keeper and into the bottom left corner.

Raphinha went on to hit the post 15 minutes later as Rodrigo was once again involved, dropping deep into midfield to link the play. Raphinha couldn’t quite open up his body comfortably, but he managed to whip a shot toward the bottom left corner, almost finding the same result.
West Ham turned the tide back in their favour in the second half, and had the ball in the net early on, but the goal was quickly disallowed as Antonio fouled Meslier in the build-up to Soucek’s goal from a corner-kick.
Leeds came close to doubling their lead as Raphinha broke down the right before cutting the ball back for Klich on the penalty spot. He took a touch to set himself but the finish was deflected agonisingly wide.
West Ham equalised soon after, as Bowen cut inside and got a lucky double deflection off Cooper and Firpo, giving the keeper no chance to predict the ball ending up in the bottom left corner.
The Londoners tightened their grip on the game and managed to find a way through at the death as Antonio was sent through on goal while countering. Shackleton didn’t manage to nick it off him and Antonio slotted the ball into the bottom right corner to steal the three points.
First half brilliant, second half not so much, particularly after Klich’s missed chance in front of the Kop.

Very worrying that we seemed to be out run for the first time in a long time, we looked dead on our feet after 70 minutes.
