Leeds United have made an offer to Chelsea to sign Conor Gallagher on loan without a permanent option. Crystal Palace are also in the running.
The Athletic revealed that The Whites have already made their pitch to Gallagher as they look to fulfil their primary target of a central midfielder this summer.
Despite the fact that Gallagher is yet to make a senior Chelsea appearance at 21-years-old, Chelsea are unwilling to listen to permanent offers and are still looking to sign Gallagher to a new contract, even though he is seen as surplus to requirements for at least the next 12 months.
Gallagher has spent the last two seasons on loan at Swansea City and West Brom, scoring two and assisting two for WBA last season as they were relegated from The Premier League.
During the previous season, Gallagher had an impressive campaign, spending the first half of the season at Charlton before being loaned to Swansea for the second half of the Championship season.
For Charlton, Gallagher scored six goals and assisted four in 26 appearances before assisting a further seven goals in 21 appearances as Swansea were knocked out of the play-offs at the semi-final stage.
Not only is he a good creative spark, but Gallagher also provides great defensive support, averaging 2.7 tackles and 0.9 interceptions per game for West Brom last season (WhoScored.com).
