Leeds United are joining Bayern Munich and Crystal Palace in the race for PSV Eindhoven’s Noni Madueke, according to The Evening Standard.

They claim that The Whites have made an enquiry for Madueke’s services next season, with Bayern Munich also hot on the tails of the young winger. His transfer would not come cheap though, with his stats and performances this season skyrocketing his value.

Madueke has scored seven goals while assisting a further six from 19 appearances in the Eredivisie. Having played 781 minutes this season, Madueke averages a direct goal involvement every 60 minutes. This is an unbelievable statistic to go with his further goal and two assists in the Europa League group stage.

According to Transfermarkt, Madueke can play in a variety of attacking positions, playing on either side as well as through the middle in the midfield or as a striker, with five goals and four assists coming from 13 games when playing up front.

Beginning his career at Crystal Palace, the England under-21 international moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2018 before departing just one year later for PSV when he decided that his career would be at a stand-still if he remained in the English capital.

Leeds are in the hunt for another winger in the coming summer transfer window, but Madueke would face stern competition to break into the Whits’ starting eleven. Jack Harrison has enjoyed a fruitful start to life in The Premier League s far while Raphinha has taken the league by storm since his arrival from Rennes.

Meanwhile, Ian Poveda continues to fight for a place in the team with Crysencio Summerville lighting up The Premier League 2 for the Leeds under-23s. Madueke looks to be a coup for whoever manages to get his signature.

Leeds are also reportedly showing interest in another striker, with Espanyol’s Raul de Tomas popping up in a Fichajes report from Spain. The 26-year-old has 16 goals and two assists in La Liga 2 but is yet to prove himself in Spain’s first division, scoring just four goals last season as Espanyol dropped out of La Liga.
