French champions Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Illan Meslier according to report from Richard Jolly in Abu Dhabi publication the National.
The deal is apparently being considered as an alternative to signing Hugo Lloris from Tottenham Hotspur, which is apparently Mauricio Pochettino’s first choice. The report says that Pochettino could try to utilise his relationship with Marcelo Bielsa to get a deal done for Meslier.
Using the ‘Kepa cost £71m’ scale of goalkeeper pricing, my calculations tell me that PSG will have to pay Leeds £945.7m for Illan Meslier. https://t.co/x5O5tkDQCy

The report says that Meslier “could replace current first-choice Keylor Navas in Mauricio Pochettino’s team.” However, I consider it more likely that Meslier would be second choice if he was to make the move - something which could really stunt his development.
PSG will sign a new goalkeeper in the summer with links to Lloris, David De Gea, and now Meslier. I think signing Meslier makes a lot of sense for PSG, but the deal (aside from money) would be a bad idea for both Leeds United and Illan Meslier so I do not see the move being sanctioned unless PSG were to offer a ridiculous sum of money. If they are going to spend that amount of money, they may as well sign Lloris who is apparently their first choice anyway.
