Young Leeds United midfielder Robbie Gotts is switching loan moves to join Salford City according to a report from Alan Nixon.
Salford. Signing Robbie Gotts from Leeds. Midfield prospect. Been at Lincoln for first half of season.

The midfielder, who has also played a lot of football as a right-back, has spent the first half of the season at Lincoln City. He hasn’t had 90 minutes often enough and when he has it has been in the cups.
Congrats to @RobbieGotts on scoring his first professional goal last night, whilst on loan at Lincoln City pic.twitter.com/Nn0Ajio3Bd

Gotts scored his first professional goal in Lincoln’s 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday. However he has only started four league games for the Imps and Leeds are likely to not think that is enough for his development, as was the case with Jordan Stevens at Swindon Town before his switch to Bradford City.
Salford signing Robbie Gotts from Leeds [Nixon]. Long-rumoured transfer target when Wellens was at #STFC, must be keen....

Gotts was heavily linked with a move to Swindon Town in the summer, with Richie Wellens apparently an admirer of Gotts’ talents. Wellens left Swindon to join Salford in November 2020 and could make the move happen now.
This move will mean that Gotts drops from League One to League Two, while that isn’t ideal it is more important that he plays regular football than which of those two leagues he is in.
