Leeds United grabbed a win over Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira at Thorp Arch one week before the team’s trip to Anfield, winning 3-1 thanks to goals from Strujik, Hernandez and Costa.
Leeds started well with Harrison and Roberts testing the keeper in the first half hour before the game started to get scrappy, with lots of fouls to go around.
The away side opened the scoring on 37 minutes as Joao Amaral put Lucas Silva through on goal, before Casilla was rounded and the ball was slotted into the back of the net.
Leeds responded quickly, equalising just two minutes later from a Barry Douglas free-kick on the far side, with Strujik meeting it with a header toward the near post.

The Whites came out in the second half and took the lead within ten minutes, with Bamford pressuring the defender into a mistake on the right side. He squared the ball, Costa faked and Hernandez swung his right foot around the ball and curled his strike into the top right corner.

Bamford turned provider again with 77 minute played, with a lovely ball lifted over the defenders on the left side, before Costa latched on and duly slotted home to give Leeds the victory.
