The Northern Ireland international could make his debut for the Latics in tomorrow’s home match against Crawley Town under some ex-Australia player that manages them now.
McCalmont has impressed in Leeds u23 side and made his first team debut as a substitute against Salford City in the League Cup. He then got his first start in the next round against Stoke City.
Alfie McCalmont apparently signed for Harry Kewells league 2 Oldham, not sure that will go down well and he is better than league 2 but at least it should mean regular games #lufc

McCalmont also impressed for the Northern Ireland u21 side to the degree that he was given his senior debut against Luxembourg in September 2019.
Personally I expected McCalmont to get a League One loan, but so long as he gets regular football this could be good for him - it is certainly better than the loans that were on the table in Spain’s third tier.
