The 27-year-old has made 69 appearances for the Italian giants since joining from Sporting Lisbon in a 40 million euro deal in 2016. West Ham, for whom Mario made 13 appearances while on loan in 2018, are said to be interested in bringing the midfielder back to the Premier League, along with Newcastle United.
Mario made 21 appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow during his loan spell in Russia last season, scoring once and assisting six times.
There are mixed opinions among West Ham fans as to whether they would take the midfielder back at the London Stadium.
