Leeds United are set to open talks with Roma’s Amadou Diawara over a possible move. Italian outlet Messagerro have revealed that Diawara’s agents will travel to Leeds next week as the Italian giants may be looking to sell the 23-year old.

This is the first real move that The Whites have made on this transfer, with the meeting looking to see if a transfer will be possible.

Diawara has done the rounds in Italy during his young career, signing for Bologna in 2015 before making a move to Napoli a year later. The Guinean signed for Roma last summer for a just under £20 million according to Transfermarkt.

Diawara is a defensive minded midfielder, who scored two and assisted three in all 105 of his Serie A matches, with one goal and one assist this season for Roma.

Arsenal are another team who have reported interest in the midfielder, who is excellent with the ball at his feet, and has brilliant awareness of his surroundings with an added eye for a pass.
