Leeds United are close to agreeing a deal for Freibrug and Germany centre-back, Robin Koch.

The 24-year old has been a long-term target of Victor Orta while at Leeds, and Phil Hay of The Athletic now reports that a fee is close to being agreed at £13 million.

Koch was subject to a bid of around £20 million from Champions League semi-finalists, RB Leipzig in January, but is now a little closer to Leeds, with The Whites getting a good fee considering that the German has entered the final year of his Freiburg contract.

Leeds were in desperate need of a centre-back following the departure of Ben White, and despite reports of a big money bid for Luiz Felipe at Lazio, The Whites are now closing in on sealing a deal for their next top target.

If Leeds can finalise the agreement of a deal with Freiburg sooner rather than later, The Whites look to fly Koch over for a medical over the weekend to have him ready to sign at the start of the week.
