Leeds United have completed the signing of young striker Sam Greenwood from Arsenal on a reported fee of £1.5 million. The 18-year old is highly rated by The Gunners, with many supporters unhappy to see Arsenal let go of such a talent, with a medical due today.
Greenwood is a versatile attacker, playing on the wing as well as up-front, scoring 19 and assisting 12 in the under-18 Premier League from 47 matches overall. Greenwood made the step-up to under-23 football last year, scoring one goal from five appearances in PL2.
Meanwhile, Greenwood has three caps and one goal for England at under-18 level, while boasting an impressive record at under-17 level, scoring 12 goals in 14 matches.
