After finishing the 2019-20 season with Lokomotiv Moscow, Jefferson Farfan is now a free agent. The 35-year old Peru national team star is on the radar of MLS teams such as NYCFC, Portland Timbers, Montreal Impact, and Inter Miami and also his first professional team, Alianza Lima. After his release with Lokomotiv, Farfan stated that he wants a couple more seasons before returning to Alianza Lima and retiring according to Peruvian sports newspaper, Diaro Libero.
Jefferson Farfán has started to train in La Videna. Needs to be ready and in form for whatever team he may join!

The former PSV Eindhoven and Schalke 04 star would be a good fit for Marcelo Bielsa’s lineup. Having his lethal scoring ability up front with Patrick Bamford and Helder Costa would make Leeds a dangerous scoring team in the Premier League. During his time with Lokomotiv, Farfan appeared in 51 games and scored 20 goals. He is also one of the veteran stars for the Peru national team, appearing in 95 games and scoring 27 goals.
With combined bid offers of between £50-100 million to many targeted players, Leeds United must watch how much they spend. Farfan being a free agent, and someone who would not command outrageous wages could add to the squad well.
There are four MLS clubs interested in Jefferson Farfán, according to reports in Peru:

Having his experience as a forward and championship mindset would be a great addition for Leeds United. This would also help Farfan on a playing level too since he will be called up to Peru for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, and this will be one of the number of factors that will keep him motivated.
