Leeds United have signed Ajax goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel on a three-year deal. The 17-year old left the Dutch giants earlier this year after failing to agree a new contract at the end of the season.

The young Dutchman arrives behind a line of exciting young talent to come through the door at Elland Road, including Joe Geldhardt, Cody Drameh and Charlie Allen.

van den Heuvel arrives having played for both Ado den Haag and Ajax before arriving at Leeds to challenge Elia Caprile to the number one spot in the under-23s team, who have recently learned their opponents in the EFL Trophy.

The 17-year old has four caps to his name at under-17 level for The Netherlands and played every minute of the under-17 Eredivisie, conceding 20 goals in 10 matches.

However, we all know of Ajax’s pedigree when it comes to young players, especially for youngsters who can play out from the back, and it’s with no doubt that Leeds saw that as a perfect fit when going for this deal.
