Leeds United have been in the hunt for a new centre-back since Ben White’s loan deal at Elland Road expired. His impressive season at Leeds has put a huge price tag on his services, as Brighton are yet to decide what role he will play in 20/21, according to Alan Nixon.

Despite Sky Sports’ report that two bids from Leeds for White were rejected, the 22-year old also rejected two contract offers from The Seagulls. Now, Graham Potter wants to decide for himself if he is worth a big contract as well as what role he will play in the upcoming season.
Leeds have already made big money offers, and The Whites may have had their heads turned by the high price set by Brighton, especially considering that his contract would also be hugely expensive.
Reports have sprouted from this in Scotland, as The Scottish Mail report that Leeds are ready to rival Celtic, West Ham, West Brom and Burnley. Despite several Premier League club showing interest though, the Irishman has reportedly put boyhood club Celtic at the top of his preferred destination.

Due to the uncertainty of Ben White’s future, this would be a smart move as Brighton are nailed on to sell at least one or two centre-backs this summer.
