Following the captures of Joe Geldhardt and Charlie Allen, Leeds United are reportedly close to securing a deal for Ajax youth goalkeeper, Dani van den Huevel.
According to an article by Ajax Showtime, the 17-year old has rejected a new contract with the Dutch giants in favour of a move to Leeds United. The Netherlands youth player has been at Ajax for three years, signing for the prestigious academy in 2017 from ADO Den Haag.
Leeds have been targeting some of the country’s best young talent that is available, making shrewd signings for players who had rejected contract offers and were expected to leave, with Fulham’s Cody Drameh due in Leeds this week for contract talks.
van den Heuvel four caps at under-17 level for The Netherlands, while making 10 appearances for Ajax’s youth team, conceding 20 goals according to Transfermarkt.
