Vélez Sarsfield midfielder and winger Thaigo Almada eyes on being part of Leeds United this upcoming season. Almada tells Argentine sports newspaper Diaro Olé, “I would like to be managed by Bielsa”.
The 19-year old Argentine under-20 star has been linked with moves to Manchester United and FC Barcelona. Almada put up improving numbers this 2019-20 season with six more appearances (22) and one more goal (4) than in 2018-19. He was included in The Guardian’s “Next Generation 2018”.

Almada in Leeds United would help boost Bielsa’s midfield/winger core and would result in a financial profit if he excels in his time with Leeds United. The midfield lineup of Pablo Hernández, Mateusz Klich, Helder Costa, and the re-signed Jack Harrison would be unstoppable with Thiago Almada in the mix.
Almada also added that Bielsa’s philosophy is similar when playing under former Marcelo Bielsa disciple, Gabriel Heinze. “I would like to be managed by Bielsa, I looked at some of the team’s plays. I liked it. I saw some plays similar to those we did in Vélez with Heinze.”
Almada, along with compatriots Juan Foyth and Emiliano Buendía, are the latest Argentine targets Leeds United have been linked to heading into the 2020-21 Premier League season.
