France youth international goalkeeper Illan Meslier will sign a three-year deal with Leeds United on Thursday, according to the man himself in an interview in Ouest-France.

Meslier didn’t get a chance until the 1-0 defeat against Arsenal in the FA Cup, and took the starting berth in the League once Kiko Casilla was suspended for racially abusing Jonathan Leko when Leeds played Charlton Athletic earlier in the season. Since then, he has kept six clean sheets in nine matches - conceding just four goals.

Leeds were always expected to take up their permanent option in Meslier’s loan deal, which is expected to cost around £5m.

Are you happy with the deal to sign Meslier (provided there are no complications)? Do you think he is good enough to start in the Premier League? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter @ThruItAllLUFC.
