Leeds United managed to make a mess of it all over again by losing 1-0 at home to Wigan Athletic.
FULL TIME: The Whites fall to a 1-0 defeat at Elland Road, with Joe Williams' 59th minute goal the decider
— Leeds United (@LUFC) February 1, 2020
A Pablo Hernandez own-goal, although the fault was with the goalkeeping of Kiko Casilla, gave the Latics the win after Leeds wasted their opportunities yet again.
Leeds have a total shot conversion rate of just 3.9% over our last four matches, having scored 3 goals (all against Millwall) from our last 77 attempts. Our opponents have averaged a 17.1% conversion rate over the past four games (6 goals from 35 attempts). #LUFC

Time now to look at each player and how they performed. As always you can tell me how wrong I am @mightywhitespod or @ThruItAllLUFC on twitter.
STARTING LINE-UP
Kiko Casilla - Made one save from Sam Morsy that he pushed back into the middle of the box which could have been worse. His attempt at getting to the deflected corner that went in was horrendous. There is a serious argument for bringing in Illan Meslier. 4/10
.@LaticsOfficial Athletic are the only side to beat Marcelo Bielsa's @LUFC twice at Elland Road!#EFL | #WAFC pic.twitter.com/xySVJpu79B

Luke Ayling - Had a really bad start, but quickly got up to average. Not able to make much of an impact. 6/10
Ben White - Both he and Cooper struggled against Kieffer Moore’s height but they coped alright. Don’t recall any errors. Made one excellent recovery tackle to prevent a good chance for Moore. 6/10
Liam Cooper - The better of the two centre-backs in the air, not as good on the ball as White. 6/10
Ezgjan Alioski - Showed good energy to get up and down as usual but lacked any quality in attacking areas. Finished the first half with two of the poorest crosses you could manage under no pressure. 5/10

Alioski
Bamford #lufc
Mateusz Klich - The best of the central midfield players. Provided options for players but as with the whole team his attacking work didn’t lead to enough. 6/10
Stuart Dallas - Made one excellent recovery to deny Tom Pearce as he ran through on goal. Passing wasn’t incisive enough when in the middle of midfield. 5/10
Pablo Hernandez - Credited with the own-goal but that wasn’t his fault. Gave the ball away really poorly on far too many occasions. Took a couple of unbelievably poor quick free-kicks when he passed it straight to a Wigan player. Deliveries from corners were consistently poor. Didn’t hide despite this and kept trying to get on the ball. 4/10
Some of our players look knackered.. Hernandez has been off form recently and Klich needs to chip in with the goals like last season.. Phillips massive miss today and we need the Ben White from the start of the season back.. Helder Costa is top class until the final ball #LUFC

Helder Costa - Beat his opposing full-back over and over again, produced a poor cross over and over again. Worked hard and made a few tackles, and had a couple of decent efforts on goal. 6/10
Jack Harrison - Best player on the pitch in the first half. Able to show great trickery to beat Wigan players repeatedly, hit the post with a good effort following some great skill. Missed a great chance from a Bamford cross. Most of Leeds crosses were poor but most of the good ones came from Harrison. Leeds man of the match for me. 7/10
What a ball by bamford how has Harrison missed this #LUFC pic.twitter.com/5ooluFaCDc

Patrick Bamford - Had some nice moments of link-up play in the first half. Missed the many chances that came his way including spurning one good chance so badly that it went backwards. Cut a frustrated figure, not as frustrated as those watching him though. 4.5/10

SUBSTITUTE
Tyler Roberts (for Alioski, 64mins) - Had to drop really deep to get on the ball at times. Broke through the lines well and looked a threat. As with everyone else, final ball not up to scratch. Had one good side foot effort deflected wide. 6/10
