Wales u21 international Niall Huggins has signed a new contract at Leeds United which will keep him under contract until the summer of 2023.

Huggins’ contract was due to expire at the end of this season, but following his impressive start to the season, mostly in a left-back role, he has been rewarded with a new deal.

It remains to be seen whether Huggins will continue to get plenty of football in Mark Jackson’s u23 side or whether Leeds will look to send Huggins out on loan. Marcelo Bielsa may want to keep him around as he was impressed enough to have him travelling with the first team squad for the 1-0 win against Everton.
