The “Yorkshire Pirlo” made his international debut for the Three Lions in a 0-0 draw against Denmark - but was played in an unfamiliar 3-4-3 with two holding midfielders alongside Declan Rice meaning England as a whole didn’t play particularly well.
Kalvin Phillips could face Leeds teammate Tyler Roberts who has been called up to the Wales squad. Also, goalkeeper Illan Meslier has been called up by France u21s for their matches against Liechtenstein and Slovakia.

Michael Cuisance has not been named in the France u21 squad so if he does complete his move to Leeds from Bayern Munich he will be able to train with the club to settle in and get used to Marcelo Bielsa’s system.
