Leeds United have confirmed Jean-Kevin Augustin’s arrival to Elland oad on an initial loan deal.
The Frenchman has been teasing United fans by liking their “welcome to Leeds“ tweets since the news broke that Leeds were on his trail.
The story progressed quickly, beginning with The Athletic confirming Augustin as The Whites’ striker target from Europe, which was previously known without a name for three weeks.

Following failing bids for Che Adams worth over £20 million as well as negotiations for Andre Gray seemingly going nowhere, Leeds’ move for the former PSG striker stepped up with the help of Augustin’s interest in playing under Marcelo Bielsa.
Tranfermarkt.com shows the 22-year-old to be a versatile forward who can play across the front-three. Augustin has an excellent record at youth international level, with 5 goals in 9 games at under-21 level and 12 goals in 13 matches for the under-19s.
Meanwhile, at Leipzig he scored 20 goals in 67 appearances while piling eight assists on top of those, while also having experience at Europa League level.
Leeds have since moved swiftly to complete the deal as Augustin arrives on loan with an option to purchase at the end of the season.
