Leeds United are expected to confirm the signing of Manchester City winger Ian Poveda later today, according to Phil Hay (The Athletic) and Graham Smyth (Yorkshire Evening Post), on what appears to be a free transfer - provided his medical goes well today.

Leeds were rumoured to be completing with other clubs for his signature, with the most notable competition from Italy with Torino taking a keen interest, but it looks as if Leeds have won out in that battle.
The England youth international, who is also eligible to play for Colombia, will provide some much needed depth to the squad as either a winger or a number 10. Although he is unlikely to be straight into the starting line-up under Marcelo Bielsa.

Ian Carlo Poveda-Ocampo (which is a great name) has only made one senior club appearance for Man City, against Burton Albion in the EFL Cup, but he is only 19 and looks to have some real potential. Whether his potential will be realised is another matter.
At youth level he played for Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Brentford before joining the reigning Premier League champions, and his record of nine goals in 31 games looks promising. However, this will be the biggest test of his young career.
