Leeds United reported to be signing Manchester City youngster

Another name has appeared in the Leeds United targets list, with Beren Cross naming Ian Poveda as the man to follow Caprile through the door.

Leeds Live’s, Beren Cross has named Manchester City’s Ian Poveda as the next target to arrive at Elland Road this window, following earlier news that young keeper Elia Caprile earlier on.

The England youth star has been chosen among the many City youth players scouted by Victor Orta and Marcelo Bielsa, with Cross claiming that the two believe that the winger of Colombian descent can make the step into the Championship without issue.

The former Brentford academy player could come in on a permanent deal, or on an initial loan with a permanent deal organised for the summer, with a fee as yet unknown.

19-year-old Poveda has assisted 2 and scored one in six Premier League 2 matches, while making a single professional appearance in the EFL Cup at Burton Albion last season.
