On loan Leeds United winger Jack Clarke had the biggest impact on an international game from the Leeds contingent with a 93rd minute winner for England U20s against Switzerland U20s at the Leichtathletik-Stadion in St. Jakob.

The winger has struggled to make an impact this season after rejoining Leeds on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, hopefully the confidence from this headed winner will help him once he returns to Elland Road. Jamie Shackleton also started the game and played 75 minutes.

Stuart Dallas put in a good performance in Northern Ireland’s 2-0 loss at home to Germany. Dallas got forward well from his right back role and could have got on the scoresheet but in the end Germany were able to claim the three points and go to the top of EURO 2020 Qualifying Group C, above Northern Ireland on goal difference.

Liam Cooper’s second cap for Scotland is not one he will remember fondly as they were hammered 4-0 at Hampden Park by Belgium. Scotland were poor in this game and deserved every bit of the hammering they got. Kevin De Bruyne was the standout player on the pitch, with the Manchester City midfielder coming away with a goal and three assists.

Elsewhere, Ezgjan Alioski played the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 win for North Macedonia in Latvia and on loan Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah played 75 minutes of England U21s 2-0 win over Kosovo U21s - Phil Foden scoring both goals.

Finally, Mateusz Klich played the final 15 minutes as Poland drew 0-0 with Austria.
