Sweden international defender Pontus Jansson appears to be on his way from Elland Road according to new reports. Jansson has been training at Malmo instead of joining the club in at preseason training and it was also reported that he had been told to come back to Leeds on 12 July, which meant he would miss the club’s trip to Australia.
as best I can tell, the relationship between Jansson and the club has broken down. There are things Leeds aren’t happy about in terms of attitude etc and I’d expect a parting of ways very soon.

The Oracle of Yorkshire, Phil Hay, posted on Twitter that it appears that the relationship between Jansson and Leeds United has broken down and he said that, “I’d expect a parting of ways very soon.”
This is a very bad development. Jansson has been one of the best defenders in the division ever since he came on loan from Torino and it was seen as a great bit of business that his deal was made permanent.
No word at this point about any possible destinations, but the whole situation doesn’t bode well for Leeds’ chances for promotion this season.
