Leeds United have signed another Barcelona youth prospect. This time, Leeds have signed Guille Amor from La Masia.

Per the club’s official website:

Leeds United can announce Guillermo Amor has today joined the club from FC Barcelona on a free transfer.

The 18-year-old midfielder has signed a two year deal with the Whites, running until the summer of 2021.

He will initially link up with Mark Jackson’s Under-18s side.

The signing of Amor follows yet another La Masia graduate, Rafa Mujica.

Per the club’s official website:

Leeds United can confirm the arrival of Rafa Mujica, who joins the club following the expiration of his contract at FC Barcelona.

Mujica has signed a three year contract with the Whites, running until the summer of 2022.

The 20-year-old attacking prospect featured 33 times for Barcelona’s B team last season, netting seven goals.

He will initially link up with Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, with a view to training with the first team.

Leeds have now signed a number of youth prospects from Spain since Victor Orta took over as Director of Football at Leeds in the summer of 2017. However, very few of them, if any, have made any impact on the first team. Hugo Diaz captained the Leeds U23s to a national championship last season, but he’s been released and is moving on.

So will these two players make an appearance this season for the first team? Or will they be just another answer to a pub quiz question?

On to the links.
