Leeds United announced that they will have their final preseason match of the year away at Serie A club Cagliari. If the name sounds familiar, yes it is the club that former owner Massimo Cellino was in charge of before buying Leeds. The club is set to play the match on 27th July with the kickoff scheduled for 19.30 BST.

The Italian club is located in the city of Cagliari, which is located on the island of Sardinia. They have mostly been in Serie A over the past 15 years or so, albeit being relegated after the 2014-15 season only to bounce right back up to Serie A after winning Serie B the following season.
Cagliari fans have not covered themselves in glory recently, as they were the fans that aimed racial abuse at Juventus player Moise Kean, to which the FIGC (Italy’s FA) and Serie A doled out no punishment to the club or the fans.
Besides Cellino, most Leeds fans will know Cagliari as the Italian club of former Chelsea player Gianfranco Zola. Zola returned to Cagliari to manage the club, but left after an unhappy spell at the club in the 2014-15 season that saw them relegated.
So will you be making the trek to Sardinia to see Leeds in person? Or will you hope that LUTV doesn’t crash too much while watching it on your laptop?
