England will be looking to close out this year’s trip to the Maurice Revello Tournament on a positive note after suffering back-to-back losses against Japan and Portugal earlier in the tournament. At this point the Young Lions have been eliminated from the knockout rounds, but still have pride to play for.

Chile, meanwhile, will be looking to sneak in a spot in the knockout rounds after losing 6-1 to Japan last round. Chile beat Portugal in the opening round of the tournament, and depending on results elsewhere, they have a chance to advance with a win.

Leeds United’s Jamie Shackleton played in the last match against Portugal, and seemed to play pretty decently despite the result. He had a nice move to get the ball into the box, but as it has seemed all tournament, the England players weren’t on the same page and his cross went harmlessly into touch as no one was anywhere near the back post.

Here’s hoping that England can get it together enough for a single win, even if they aren’t going to be able to repeat as champions this season. A win against Chile would go a long way towards restoring some confidence in the players before they head back home and get ready for next season.
