Leeds United striker Mallik Wilks has had his trial moved from 1 July 2019 to 11 May 2020. This could be either good or bad news, depending on how you look at it.

On the one hand, the moving of the trial means that he’ll still have it hanging over him for almost all of next season, however it also means that there is no chance for him to go to prison anytime soon.
At some point Leeds are going to either need to play him or let him go elsewhere. The moving of the trial isn’t going to change the fact that he needs a chance to prove himself in preseason. And if he doesn’t, well, then that’s that and we can wish him the best of luck. If he does make it, then we’ll get behind him until the trial and see what happens then.
