Leeds United take on two of the team’s closest Yorkshire neighbours in preseason friendlies before departing for a preseason tour of Australia, where they will face off against Manchester United and Western Sydney Wanderers. Leeds will once again face Guiseley and will also visit York City in matches to be played on 10 and 11 July.

Per the club’s official website:

The players return to Thorp Arch next week and Marcelo Bielsa’s side will step up preparations for the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship campaign with an away tie away at York City on Wednesday 10th July.

The Whites will then head to Nethermoor Park to face Guiseley in our now traditional friendly game the very next day, on Thursday 11th July.

Following these two fixtures, the team will then fly to Australia on the weekend of the 12th July, ahead of facing Manchester United and Western Sydney Wanderers, Down Under.

A final pre-season friendly on Saturday 27th July is still being discussed with a potential opposition. This will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Neither club that Leeds will be visiting is very far away from Thorp Arch, with York City’s Bootham Crescent less than a half-hour drive from the training ground and Guiseley’s Nethermoor Park about 45 minutes from Thorp Arch. Both clubs are local non-league opposition, as both play in the National League North, the sixth level on the football pyramid in England.

The club also revealed that they are making arrangements for a final preseason match on 27 July as a final tune-up before the season starts in August.

Are you planning on making the trek to see Leeds play in these friendlies? Or will you try to catch them online? Any preferences for a final preseason opposition?
