Last year, it was a foregone conclusion that Hernandez would win the award, but this year the issue was in doubt, as was the performance from such players as Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips, and Pontus Jansson. However, Hernandez was still head and shoulders above almost everyone else in the Championship, much less the club.

After being ignored for at least one “team of the year” award, Hernandez made the PFA Championship Team of the Year, along with Jansson and Cooper.
In the end, it was another fitting award for Hernandez, who is the beating heart of this Leeds team.
