If Marcelo Bielsa has one fault in press conferences, it’s his tendency to tell the truth. Yes, it’s refreshing to see a manager say what he actually thinks, but sometimes wouldn’t you just like to hear him say “everything is fine” when he and everyone else knows that it’s not?
A fairly unique press conference, in which Bielsa battled with a fire alarm for most of it. Said he was disappointed with the result rather than dissatisfied with the performance. So Bielsa said that “we lost a very a very important game” against Sheffield United, and he’s not wrong. It would have made the rest of the season a bit easier, but since when do Leeds do it the easy way?
