One of the things that you start to notice after awhile with Marcelo Bielsa is his tendency to blame himself for any loss. He’s not one to throw players under the bus or complain about officials.
Bielsa sounding unusually concerned tonight. Says Leeds still a need too many chances to score but have now lost their previous defensive solidity. Says that’s down to him, not the players. “I feel deeply responsible.” #lufc— Phil Hay (@PhilHayYEP) February 2, 2019
So it’s not surprising that he considers himself to blame, or as he put it, “deeply responsible” for the defensive lapses against Norwich. Of course he’s not to blame for Pontus Jansson committing a daft foul or Kiko Casilla letting the ball go between his legs, but hey, isn’t it refreshing to have a manager who doesn’t blame everyone else when things go wrong?
