The Leeds U23s are also top of their league, and they opened up a even greater lead with a victory over Sheffield United yesterday.

Izzy Brown scored the only goal in the match, which also saw Barry Douglas play for the U23s in a bid to increase his fitness. The success of the U23s hopefully means that Carlos Corberan has fully embraced how Marcelo Bielsa wants the team to play, and that the players in the Academy are all fully prepared to step in and play in the first team if needed. So far, it appears that it is the case, with Jamie Shackleton, Jack Clarke, Leif Davis, and even Will Huffer being able to step in and play a role in the first team.

On to the links.
