Leeds United had a poor game and Stoke City overcame a lot of pressure and got two goals in the second half to overcome Leeds 2-1. Gjanni Alioski got a goal in the dying moments of the match, but it wasn’t enough as Leeds fall away from home.

STARTING XI
BAILEY PEACOCK-FARRELL
Gave up two goals today, but neither were really his fault. Had a nervy moment or two, but did well to stop a couple chances, including a good save on a free kick. 7
LUKE AYLING
Got forward well, but his final ball and crosses left a lot to be desired today. Still the better of the two fullbacks, but would have been disappointed to not set up at least one goal, especially when he made a free run into the box with the ball, only to fail to pick out a Leeds player on the cut-back. 5.5
LIAM COOPER
The captain was mostly quiet, although he didn’t cover himself in glory on the first Stoke goal after a really poor header. Perhaps could have done more to help prevent the second Stoke goal, but Leeds were pushing up and he was only central defender on the pitch. 6
Jansson with a brilliant recovering tackle after Adam's long ball sent McClean clear. BPF gets a bollocking for not rushing out to deal with it. Corner. #lufc

PONTUS JANSSON
The big Swede had one of those matches where he looks good playing the game, including a goal-saving tackle in the box, but also lost his cool and got red carded. Despite both yellows being fairly controversial decisions, it’s still not great for the heart of the defence to put himself in those situations. 6
Alioski sums up one of the problems today - good position out wide, slices a cross over the bar. We've got two minutes to go.

GJANNI ALIOSKI
Had a much rougher day at left-back than he did against Derby County. Didn’t put in crosses that seemed to challenge the opponents, and while he scored the only Leeds goal, he had at least one other shot that was speculative at best and was more likely just wasteful. 6
ADAM FORSHAW
Another player who resorted to long-range, wasteful shots instead of trying to pick out a final ball. Didn’t look nearly as in control as he did against Derby. A rough day at the office, but far from the worst player on the pitch for Leeds. 5.5
Honesty from Mateusz Klich who admits Stoke City cashed in on his "poor clearance" to go 1-0 up and Leeds United's failure to create enough clear chances. #lufc @LeedsNews https://t.co/VFICiFb0B3 pic.twitter.com/yAFZ3C15Xp

MATEUSZ KLICH
Was very poor today. Dribbled into opponents on couple occasions, was wasteful in passing and it was his error that directly lead to the opening Stoke goal. One of his worst games in a Leeds shirt. 4
PABLO HERNANDEZ
Probably the best player in a Leeds shirt today, but sort of by default more than anything else. Looked to be fouled as he went into the box and a couple of his deliveries into the box would have been turned into the net on another day. Hard luck for him today. 7
JACK HARRISON
Not the best day for the Leeds wingers. Looked too try and dribble past his opponent rather than try and pick out another player far too often, and when he tried to pick out a pass, couldn’t really connect. Was subbed off for Tyler Roberts, and the look of frustration on his face said it all. 5
JACK CLARKE
Not nearly as dominant as he was against Derby, and it appeared that two or three defenders were on him every time he got a touch on the ball. Not necessarily his fault that he was tripled teamed, but should have been able to figure out a way to get rid of the ball instead of trying to dribble into a wall. 6
Own worst enemies today: passing poor, control sloppy, decision-making non-existent... nothing for Roofe to feed off at all. Very frustrating viewing. #lufc

KEMAR ROOFE
Could barely get a touch on the ball, but when he did get the ball, wasn’t as clinical about finishing as he usually is. A poor game from the striker, but again, far from the worst offender and barely saw the ball. 5
SUBSTITUTES
TYLER ROBERTS
(61 minute for Harrison) Doesn’t have the passing to play as an attacking midfielder for Leeds, at least not right now. He and Roofe play basically the same position and probably shouldn’t be on the pitch at the same time. 5
JORDAN STEVENS
(76th minute for Klich) Will be excited about making his debut in the senior team, but will be disappointed to get into a match when the team was down. Found it difficult to make much impact on the match, and this might be too much, too soon for the former Forest Green Rovers teenager. 5
