Tyler Roberts joined Leeds last January during the winter transfer window from West Bromwich Albion. He had been on loan at Walsall for the first half of the season. However, he was injured in training right after signing for Leeds, and did not appear for Leeds during the 2017-18 season. He scored five goals in 17 league appearances for Walsall.
Before playing at Walsall, Roberts played for a season at Shrewsbury, where he scored four goals in 13 appearances.
Roberts has not played in any matches in the Championship for Leeds, but he has appeared in two League Cup matches and also played for the U23s. It does appear that while he isn’t necessarily in the immediate plans for the first team, he’s still only 19 and shows enough promise to not only make an appearance at the senior level for Wales, but also to stay on the team while 24 other players left Leeds this summer.
