Morning Leeds-in for 15 September: Will Leeds’ good underlying numbers overcome injuries?

The stat lines going into this match aren’t pretty for Millwall, but will the injuries leave Leeds reeling? Or will the club overcome their injuries and play the same way with new players in the lineup?

One of the reasons an experienced manager like Marcelo Bielsa was brought to Leeds in the first place was to install a system that could produce results in the league, and so far it has.

Millwall has been a thorn in the side of many a Leeds side over the years, but those teams didn’t have Bielsa coaching them. Leeds have been scoring lots of goals and been good defensively over the first six games, and have enjoyed some of the better underlying numbers in the league. So will Bielsa’s system survive the loss of a a number of key players?

Even if Leeds don’t get a result today, it shouldn’t be blown out of proportion, but a win would be brilliant and an indication that Bielsa really does live up to the hype.

On to the links.
