Leeds skipper Liam Cooper had some words for Millwall’s Steve Morison ahead of Saturday’s clash at the New Den.
Cooper on the battle with Steve Morison, who's promised to play like Ibrahimovic: "He's important but all that tripe about Ibrahimovic - if it makes him feel better then so be it. We know what we've got to do and we know the standards we've set." #lufc— Phil Hay (@PhilHayYEP) September 13, 2018
Former Leeds striker Morison, who had promised to “pull out his Ibrahimovic jersey” for the match, was dismissed by Cooper, as he said regarding the talk about Morison, “if it makes him feel better, than so be it.”
This match has always weighed too heavily on the Leeds players over the years, as it’s not as if the points earned or dropped down in London are worth any more than ones earned at Burton or Sheffield.
A lot of injuries mean Leeds have a challenge, but don’t blow it out of proportion if there isn’t an ideal result. It’s still only September.
And Morison isn’t fit to shine Ibrahimovic’s boots, for what it’s worth.
