The first press conference of the season was held yesterday, with Marcelo Bielsa and Patrick Bamford speaking to the press.

Bamford had nice things to say about Leeds (well of course he would) saying:

When the bid got accepted I was thinking this a reality now. Leeds is such a big club. It was a no-brainer really and gave me an opportunity to play upfront and be the no 9. Last time I played up front for the whole season was at MK Dons. I knew I was a number nine and I always wanted to play up front. That was a big thing.

It sounds like he’s going to get his wish to play up front. And if he can score at Elland Road like he did last year when he visited with Middlesbrough, then Leeds are going to be very lucky.

On to the links.
