Morning Leeds-in for 21 August: Radrizzani runs his mouth about Conte

Doesn’t Andrea Radrizzani have anyone in his life that can tell him when he’s going to make a mistake and that maybe, just maybe, he shouldn’t do whatever it is he’s gonna do?

There have been a number of gaffes at Leeds since Radrizzani took over, and we all thought that with the club doing well right now and with a literal legend managing team everything would be fine, right?

So Radrizzani spoke to the Italian press and said a bunch of names about other managers he claimed he was interesting in bringing to Elland Road before settling on Marcelo Bielsa. Yeah, way to back your manager who literally just set a club record.

The only other confirmed candidate for the Leeds job was former Chivas de Guadalajara manager Matias Almeyda. Almeyda said on Fox Sports Mexico that he interviewed for the job before Bielsa got it, but that’s been the only other “confirmed” candidate.

I get that Radrizzani likes to talk, but rather than talk some kind of mess about throwing €20 million at Antonio Conte couldn’t he just have said that he’s grateful to have a manager like Bielsa at the club?
