Well, at least the kids are still alright.
The first team squad is still coming together as a team right now, but the U23s look to hit the ground running, as they played Tadcaster Albion in a preseason fixture last night and blew the doors off the place.

Leeds ran out to a 6-1 victory, and it looked as if the team was playing “Bielsa-ball” with a the famous 3-3-1-3 formation being used.
If @LUFC 1st team play the way the U23’s did tonight v @TadcasterAlbion then we are in for a brilliant season. They were simply outstanding. #thebielsaway

So, this bodes well for the future. With the whole club playing the same way and using the same tactics, any U23s that have to step in to fill holes in the lineup because of injuries (and they will happen) will be prepared and ready for their roles. Plus, the better they get at this way of playing, the better they will be when they are ready for the big time in a few years.
