Young Leeds defender Liam Kitching has signed a new contract at the club and will go back to Harrogate Town on loan.

Kitching spent the last half of the season on-loan at Harrogate Town, gaining valuable experience and helping Harrogate get promoted to the National League. Per the club’s official website:

The 18-year-old centre back is a product of the Leeds United Academy and has put pen to paper on a new three year deal, committing his future to the club until the summer of 2021.

During the first half of last season Kitching was a regular for Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, before completing a loan move to Harrogate Town in January to gain regular first team action.

He excelled with the National League North side, helping the North Yorkshire outfit win promotion and his impressive performances have earned him a new deal at Elland Road.

Kitching will now continue his first team development by returning to Harrogate on loan until January 2nd 2019, as the Wetherby Road side prepare for life in the National League

Good luck at Harrogate, Liam.
