So Elland Road hosted an England game, and the atmosphere was terrific.
Plenty of people on Twitter, even a lot of fans from other teams, complemented the Leeds faithful and Elland Road for a cracking, passionate atmosphere.
Elland Road atmosphere markedly better than Wembley... still hindered by that bloody band

No wonder the FA are selling Wembley. Elland Road has got a much better atmosphere.

Atmosphere in Leeds sounds incredible. Raucous. Vocal. Passionate. Hoping to link up with a few Leeds fans in Russia. Some of the best fans in England. Putting Wembley to shame. AF

Even the Chairman got in on the Tweeting action.
Thank you @England & @FA. Beautiful evening, amazing atmosphere. Good luck in Russia and we hope to see you at Elland Road again soon! ⚽️#LUFC #ThreeLions https://t.co/vJoI0nDDvI
