Now that the new manager, er “head coach” is here, what about the players?

Last season there seemed to be an emphasis on quantity over quality, and a lot of the transfers didn’t really seem to work out.

Now Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly been given a “transfer war chest” of £20 million, but will that be enough? This team was’t good enough last year, and with the inflation of prices in England (cheers Premier League) 20 million won’t buy you what it used to. After all, Aston Villa spent about £70 million and didn’t go up.

Perhaps a few loan deals with options to buy, like what Wolverhampton did last season, will be utilized. Let’s just hope that Bielsa is able to get the players he wants.

On to the links.
