Yosuke Ideguchi’s unsuccessful loan spell at Cultural Leonesa seems to have derailed his World Cup dream, as he was dropped from the final 23 man Japan World Cup squad yesterday.

Ideguchi had been a key member of the team that qualified for the World Cup, but his unsuccessful loan spell in Spain meant that he was seen as unfit to go to the World Cup.
He’s said before that his focus is on his club career, but this still has to be upsetting for the player. What does this mean for his career at Leeds? Who knows, but none of this is good.
