The final Japan squad is set to be released today, and after not appearing for Cultural Leonesa for months, it appears that Yosuke Ideguchi still has a chance to appear in the final World Cup squad for Japan.

Ideguchi played 14 minutes against Ghana yesterday in Yokohama, and with the final roster set to be released sometime today, Ideguchi has a chance to make the squad after being left off earlier this season.

While the loan deal to Leonesa hasn’t worked out, Ideguchi has been a key member of the Japan squad that qualified for the World Cup, so this really isn’t a stretch to see him possibly make the team. Let’s just hope that he’s all rested up, plays great, and then carries the momentum into the season with Leeds.
